If you are attending River Convention this year and volunteering in a child-specific role, providing your Working With Children Check (18 years and over), and signing our Code of Conduct are MANDATORY.
FORM FOR VOLUNTEERS IN CHILD SPECIFIC ROLES
During the convention there will be a form made available for all visitors that come to serve, to fill out and sign. If you would like to voluntarily supply your WWCC or State equivalent at this time, you may. Please keep an eye out for this form when you arrive.
Keeping children and vulnerable people safe while out in community and on country, is very important to us for 3 main reasons.
Firstly, because we are ambassadors for Christ and His Kingdom, not only in what we say or sing, but also in how we live and behave.
Secondly, because significant trust and responsibility is given by families, parents and carers as we spend time in THEIR community with THEIR children.
And Thirdly, because after you leave, Christians will continue to serve and proclaim the Gospel in these communities and they don’t want to be left having to attend to issues that have arisen from peoples misconduct.
